Preview of Next Week’s Boston Sales 2.0 Conference

The folks at DemandGen just released a handy summary of key agenda highlights coming up next week at the Sales 2.0 Conference in Boston. We suggest you read the whole thing (it includes some choice quotes from conference host Gerhard Gschwandtner, which are a great preview of what he’ll likely address during his opening remarks) but here are highlights of the highlights, so to speak:

  • Research has found that, generally, salespeople are meeting only 45% of their forecast, which indicates an increased need for sales effectiveness.
  • Research shows that there are more mobile devices available than PCs, as consumers are moving from a delayed economy to a real-time economy, demanding information at their fingertips whenever possible.
  • To become more efficient, BtoB organizations have moved operations to the Cloud.
  • BtoB organizations are increasingly learning from the BtoC “Amazon.com approach.” Conversations online are pivotal to company success.

Looks like social media, sales operations, mobility, and metrics will all be key topics for discussion on June 20.
