Sowing Seeds for Sales & Marketing Alignment

Kudos to Trish Bertuzzi, who wrote a great recap of the speech given by Gerhard Gschwandtner (who hosts our Sales 2.0 Conference events) at last month’s annual AA-ISP Leadership Summit (AA-ISP = the American Association of Inside Sales Professionals). One point she highlighted about sales & marketing alignment:

Having both organizations focused on the same goals and executing a single strategy makes the revenue bell say cha-ching. The days of the silo are dead – long live alignment!

Gerhard also stated that only 5% of sales organizations have a formal sales process that more than 80% of the sales people are following. To quote Trish: YIKES. If you don’t have a sales process in place, how will you be able to equip your sales and marketing teams to collaborate effectively?
