Kudos to Trish Bertuzzi, who wrote a great recap of the speech given by Gerhard Gschwandtner (who hosts our Sales 2.0 Conference events) at last month’s annual AA-ISP Leadership Summit (AA-ISP = the American Association of Inside Sales Professionals). One point she highlighted about sales & marketing alignment:
Having both organizations focused on the same goals and executing a single strategy makes the revenue bell say cha-ching. The days of the silo are dead – long live alignment!
Gerhard also stated that only 5% of sales organizations have a formal sales process that more than 80% of the sales people are following. To quote Trish: YIKES. If you don’t have a sales process in place, how will you be able to equip your sales and marketing teams to collaborate effectively?
We’re looking forward to the upcoming Sales 2.0 Conference on June 20, in Boston, where we’re sure to hear more about how collaborative processes can keep sales moving forward. Stay tuned for firsthand reports! (Reminder: You can always follow the action on Twitter by tracking #s20c.)
