Three Things a Sales Leader Must Consider

In this clip from the Ariba Live conference in Nashville earlier this month, Gerhard Gschwandtner (Founder and CEO of Selling Power and host of the Sales 2.0 Conference series) talks about the state of the sales profession and the three challenges always on a sales leader’s mind: people, process, and technology.

One significant statistic he cites: the U.S. is┬áno longer a manufacturing economy. According to the World Bank, 76% of our GDP now comes from service jobs. This has major implications for the sales profession. As Gschwandtner has pointed out before, sales jobs are expected to be on the decline over the next 20 years. To grow and stay competitive, companies and sales teams need to start finding ways to “bring the customer into the hub of the organization.”
